Born in South Africa, Mandy Lee Jandrell completed her BA (Hons) in Fine Art with at the Michaelis School of Fine Art, University of Cape Town. During her undergraduate studies, she was a core member of The Sluice Group collective.

Now based in the UK, Jandrell completed her MA Fine Art at Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2003, after which her work gained visibility through exhibitions in museums and galleries in the UK, Europe, the United States, South Africa and the Middle East.

Her work has been shown at The Whitechapel Gallery (UK), The Royal Academy (UK), 10 Downing Street (UK),The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (UK), Government Art Collection (UK), Serpentine Gallery Projects (UK), The Usher Gallery (UK), The South African National Gallery (RSA), The Castle of Good Hope (RSA), The Sharjah Art Foundation (UAE) and others.
